Danville, May 20, 2009— The PSPCA is committed to helping all animals in need, especially during times of economic struggle. To further that mission, the PSPCA’s Danville Adoption Branch will host a food bank on Sunday, May 24, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Free dog and cat food will be distributed to pet owners in need or out of work.

“Given the nation’s current economic crisis, we know that there are many loving pet guardians that need just a little help in caring for their beloved dogs and cats,” said PSPCA Chief Operations Officer Lisa Rodgers. “We receive donations of food from generous individuals and companies. We want to pass that food on to those families who are able to keep their pets but are facing some financial difficulties.”
