Fifty-one cats rescued from a home in Dalmatia, Northumberland County are now ready for adoption. The animals – who were rescued on July 30th – were transported to the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Montrose facility where they received veterinary care and were given proper vaccinations. The Montrose facility is now actively searching for loving homes for these animals.
As 25 of the cats are completely white, the Pennsylvania SPCA is extending a “white sale” to make adoption more affordable. Regular price of $90 for kittens has been reduced to $75; and adults have been reduced to $75 from $50. Price of adoption includes spay and neuter, microchipping and the first round of shots.
The Montrose facility of the Pennsylvania SPCA is located at Routes 706 & 29. The facility is open seven days a week beginning at 11:30 AM. To inquire about adoption, please call (570) 278-1228.
The Pennsylvania SPCA is also asking the public for help in funding the costs associated with saving the lives of these cats and victims of animal cruelty. As a non-profit organization, the Pennsylvania SPCA relies on donations to prevent and prosecute animal abuse and neglect cases. Our Humane Law Enforcement Officers investigate an average of 17 cases per day.
