Officers Break Up Suspected Dog Fighting Ring, Rescue Seven Dogs & One Cat
At 2:30 a.m. this morning, Pennsylvania SPCA Humane Law Enforcement officers executed a search warrant and broke up a suspected dog fighting ring at a property on the 2200 block of N. Delhi St. in Philadelphia. Once inside, the officers found seven dogs and one cat. They also found one dog dead at the scene. All the animals were recovered and taken to Pennsylvania SPCA headquarters at 350 E. Erie Ave. for medical evaluation. The alleged operator of the ring was not at the scene and was not arrested at the time. More details to follow....
