“Providing affordable vaccines and opportunities for veterinary care speaks directly to our mission and demonstrates our commitment to improve the health and welfare of animals in the Philadelphia area,” said Pennsylvania SPCA Medical Director Aime Berman, VMD. “Something as simple as a vaccine can save an animal from a fatal, yet completely preventable, disease.”
The cost of a Distemper and Rabies vaccine package for both dogs and cats is $20 (normally $35 for cats and $40 for dogs) and no appointment is necessary. Members of the public will be asked to sign-in upon arrival and vaccinations will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Information about pet microchipping for identification, flea and tick prevention and dog licensing, which is required for all Philadelphia residents, will also be available.
