The PSPCA has taken the first step in bringing justice to Cranberry, the pup who was found dumped in a trash bag in Philadelphia’s Wissahickon Valley Park right before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Michael Long, 33, an 11-year veteran of the Philadelphia police force was arrested on Thursday, and charged with two misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty, one misdemeanor count for possession of an instrument of a crime, and one summary charge of animal cruelty. In addition to the charges, he has been suspended for 30 days with the intent to dismiss.
