Fishtown Center

A Neighborhood Place for Pet Families

fishtown-adoption-parisThe new Fishtown Center brings to this vibrant community a wide range of services in an intimate setting.  Smaller and quieter than a traditional animal shelter, the Fishtown Center provides a local neighborhood destination for adoptions, dog training, preventive care, youth programs and animal-friendly shopping.

Our cats live in an open cat room where you can pop in to visit, along with accessible individual housing. Dogs wait to join forever families in mini-meet rooms that can be less stressful than traditional dog kennels. These housing choices bring you closer to the animals in a less overwhelming environment than a large adoption center.

We also offer services to help pet families in the neighborhood care for and strengthen their bond, such as low-cost vaccine clinics and dog training.  Our services include:

Adoptions: Find a new family member Wednesday-Friday 2pm-7pm, Saturday & Sunday Noon-5pm. Adoptable Pets

Low-cost vaccine clinics: Catchup on annual vaccinations and other preventive care services without an appointment or exam fee. Mondays  5-7pm, first & third Saturday of the month 9-10:30am. Schedule & Pricing

Dog training classes: Classes focus on strengthening the bond and communication between humane and canine family members. Current Schedule

TNR (trap-neuter-return) for community cats: Free for cats trapped in the city limits, by appointment. Services & Logistics

Volunteering: The animals depend on all of us working together, and volunteers play an integral role in helping animals in our care find homes and helping to spread the word about our work. Volunteer in Fishtown

Cool merch: Support our fight against cruelty and neglect with cool merch and fun accessories for your pet.
