Save A Life Medical Fund

bailey-2The Pennsylvania SPCA is the area’s only large-scale rescue organization with one of the nation’s largest Humane Law Enforcement divisions, offering countless abused animals their only chance to escape horrific, inhumane circumstances, and a road to recovery.

A high volume of humane law enforcement rescues means a high volume of abused animals in need of immediate medical care. The Pennsylvania SPCA’s Save A Life Medical Fund helps to provide our in-house Shelter Hospital with additional funding for advanced veterinary care or surgery for these rescued animals in need of rehabilitation.

The PSPCA relies entirely on the generosity of donations and our resources are strained by general medical care requirements and spay/neuter surgery for our adoptable animals. The Save A Life Medical Fund allows us to raise additional funds designated specifically to our Shelter Hospital to treat those animals who require extraordinary medical efforts which would otherwise be beyond our means.

The Save A Life Medical Fund can literally be the difference between life and death for an animal. Not only can this fund help cover the costs of emergency situations or surgeries, but it allows us to address serious medical conditions that may have been left untreated for years. It can even provide a greater quality of life for an animal by allowing us to save a damaged limb rather than amputating it.

Despite running one of the East Coast’s largest in-house shelter hospitals, some cases require the assistance of offsite specialized referral practices for advanced medical treatment which can be cost prohibitive and put a strain on our budget. The Save A Life Medical Fund allows us to give the animals that need this specialized care a chance at recovery.

With your help, the transformation for these orphaned animals is nothing short of a miracle. Help us provide advanced medical treatment for animals in need.
