The Pennsylvania SPCA’s Animal Law Enforcement team executed a search warrant on Wednesday, September 27, resuing 92 cats and kittens from the property of a breeder in Lancaster County.
Responding to tips from two separate individuals who had purchased sick kittens from the breeder, we seized 92 mostly ragdoll type cats from the residence on Northbrook Drive in Lancaster. The conditions were filthy, leaving some of the cats’ fur caked with litter, their noses and eyes full of discharge, and all exposed to ringworm.
The breeder at the property had not been seeking veterinary care for the cats, but instead was treating their ailments himself.
