The photos are hard to look at, but thankfully these cares are now safe. On Friday, June 21, the Pennsylvania SPCA's Humane Law Enforcement Officers rescued 50 cats and kittens suffering in filthy conditions.
Our officers rushed to the property in Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, after receiving calls from concerned citizens and neighbors. There, they found dozens of cats and kittens living in deplorable conditions at the home of a self-identified rescue organization. The cats and kittens were in bad shape, many with their eyes crusted over from both the living conditions and lack of veterinary care.
We arrived just in the nick of time, rushing the most critical cases to our Shelter Hospital in Philadelphia.
These cats will need medical care, shelter and kindness as they recover from all that they've experienced. Please join us in continuing this important lifesaving work, by making a donation today. Every dollar makes a difference.
