We know that choosing to surrender a pet is one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can make. Life circumstances change — financial hardship, a health crisis, housing challenges, a pet's behavior, or simply the needs of your family.
Surrenders are accepted by appointment, and on a case-by-case basis. Please complete the surrender form and we will contact you for next steps. The more information you can provide about your pet — their health history, behavior, temperament, and daily routine — the better we can match them with the right care and the right home.

If your pet came home with you from one of our locations, we will always take them back — no waitlist, no exceptions. Simply visit any of our four locations and we will take care of the rest. This is our lifetime promise to every animal we place. We encourage you to email us before you arrive so we may prepare for your visit.
Before you submit a surrender request, we'd love to connect you with resources that may make it possible to keep your pet at home. We offer access to pet food assistance through our network of community pet food banks, low-cost veterinary care including vaccines, spay/neuter, and basic treatment, and behavior support with tips and resources for common challenges like house training, aggression, or anxiety — because keeping families together is always our first goal.
