About the Danville Center
In 1867, the Pennsylvania SPCA was founded to protect horses. Today, that same mission lives on at our Danville Center — the only location in our territory equipped to care for horses and other farm animals.
PSPCA’s Danville Center does it all. Cats and dogs find their forever homes here, and our veterinary clinic supports the area’s farms with affordable TNR services while providing the region’s pets with vaccine clinics and affordable spay/neuter. Volunteers, fosters, and our Community Pet Pantry help make this place what it is.

A Veterinary Clinic Built from a Farmhouse
What started as a single converted farmhouse is now a full-scale veterinary hub for Central Pennsylvania. Our clinic provids care to over 4,500 cats and dogs — including nearly 1,000 TNR surgeries supporting community cats in our farm and rural communities. From affordable spay and neuter to vaccine clinics, we’re bringing high-quality, accessible care to a region that needed it.

Animal Law Enforcement
Central Pennsylvania is part of our 18-county territory, and our Animal Law Enforcement team investigates cruelty and neglect throughout the region — including cases involving horses and farm animals, which often end up here at Danville while their case moves through the courts. If you suspect an animal is in danger, tell us.
We brought home two working cats for our horse barn last spring, and we have not seen a single mouse since. They patrol the property like pros and have even started greeting us at the gate. Best decision we have made for the farm.
