Our senior pets have given their best years to loving someone — now it’s their turn to be loved back. Thanks to our wonderful partnership with Freshpet, adoption fees may be waived for select senior pets, so less can stand between you and your new best friend.

Some cats just aren’t suited to live in a traditional home — and that’s okay. Our Working Cats program places these independent, resourceful cats in barns, warehouses, stables, and other properties where they can thrive on their own terms.
Before adoption, every cat spends time acclimating in a safe outdoor enclosure here at our shelter, so they’re comfortable outdoors and ready for their new environment before they ever leave.
All working cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, ear-tipped, fully vaccinated, and FIV/FeLV tested. Once placed, all they need from you is daily food and water, shelter, and veterinary care when necessary.
Some dogs just need a little more time to show who they really are. Our Test Drive Program gives select dogs — often long-term residents or those who may need extra support adjusting — a chance to settle into a real home, with a real routine.
It’s one more way we go the extra mile to make sure every adoption is a lasting one. Take them home for a short trial period, and if the fit isn’t quite right for either of you, bring them back, no questions asked.
