Foundation Support

The partners behind the buildings, equipment, and breakthroughs.

The Pennsylvania SPCA receives no state or city funding. Every facility we operate, every piece of medical equipment we use, and every program we run exists because of those who believe in this work. Our partners have funded the construction of protective custody housing for animals rescued from cruelty, put diagnostic equipment in the hands of our shelter hospital veterinarians, upgraded critical infrastructure at our campuses, and sponsored adoption events that help more animals find homes. These aren’t sponsorships, they’re investments in making our lifesaving mission possible.

Foundation Partner Spotlight

  • PetSmart Charities funded the construction of our Protective Custody Housing Unit, the space where animals rescued from cruelty cases recover safely, and provided emergency support during COVID-19.

  • Petco Love has invested in the PSPCA’s lifesaving work through multiple grants supporting animal rescue and placement programs.

  • Foxwynd Foundation has funded critical infrastructure upgrades at both our Philadelphia headquarters and Main Line Animal Rescue site, from HVAC systems to shelter hospital equipment.

  • Banfield Foundation put an ultrasound machine in the hands of our shelter hospital veterinarians, strengthening our ability to diagnose and treat the animals in our care.

  • BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsors reduced-fee “Empty the Shelters” adoption events that help more animals find homes.

Some of Philadelphia’s most recognizable names have stepped up for the Pennsylvania SPCA including the Philadelphia Flyers, Phillies and Kylie Kelce. Bennett and the New 96.5 don’t just feature adoptable animals, but raise funds through a yearly radiothon. Every single partnership proves that animal welfare isn’t just our mission. It belongs to the whole city.
