Pecan

Meet Pecan! This sweet senior lady came to us as a stray and is ready to trade shelter life for a soft bed, a quiet home, and someone to spend her golden years with.

Pecan is an easy-going, gentle girl who doesn't ask for much. She appears to be housebroken, is quiet, and is happiest when she can relax and enjoy some peaceful company. She can coexist with other dogs, but she's not looking for a rowdy playmate and appreciates having plenty of quiet time to herself.

Pecan can startle easily, so she would thrive in a calmer, predictable home where she can settle into a comfortable routine. We're looking for a senior dog-savvy adopter who understands that older pups sometimes need a little extra patience and care, especially as Pecan does have some age-related medical needs that will require continued veterinary care.

Mostly, Pecan is looking for something every senior shelter dog deserves: a safe, comfortable place to call home and a person who will love her for however many golden years she has ahead of her.

If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared –bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.
