With the HVAC system at the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Lancaster Center forcing the shelter to shut down, dozens of cats and dogs were moved to the organization’s already full Philadelphia and Main Line Animal Rescue campuses.
With no open kennels and no time to spare, the Pennsylvania SPCA is extending the $25 adoption fees for all animals through this Sunday, July 6, 2025 at its Philadelphia headquarters, Main Line Animal Rescue site and PSPCA Danville Center.
Eligible dogs and cats must have been available for adoption for 30 days.
With recent large-scale Animal Law Enforcement rescues, and adoptions slowing during the summer months, the shelter is at capacity. Due to this critical level, the organization is urgently seeking adopters.
