Hope Starts Here.
Whether an animal is injured, abandoned, neglected, or simply in need of a loving home, we're ready to help.
Since 1867, we’ve shown up when animals needed us. They still do.

Adopt Nugget
Sweet little Nugget came to MLAR from a home with multiple cats thru our Animal Law Enforcement officers. She was so scared and shutdown upon arrival. Since being at MLAR, she has really blossomed into a sweet, loving girl. Nugget loves to be pet and will roll on her side purring and making biscuits to show her appreciation. Once she gets to know you, she will love you forever!
Nugget is still a kitten and just wants to be in a safe loving home. She will need a patient owner to allow her time to be comfortable until she trusts you. Then she will be your sweet girl!

Happy Home Alert
An update on Marco who I adopted last July: he just turned 16 and is doing great! His perfect day is sleeping on a big comfy blanket and looking forward to his next meal. He's been a wonderful addition to our home ❤️
